The hardness of 90% of all shot particles tested shall be within the range of 40-50 HRc.

Minimum density is 7.0 g/cm³
Microstructure :
Low carbon cast steel shots have a bainitic structure which produce the combination of high hardness, long life and durability.
General Appearance :
The cast steel shot shall be as nearly spherical as is commercially possible with a minimum of elongated or compound particles, tails, hollows, broken pieces, slag and dirt.
